So, how were the past two weeks? Busy.

Monday May 12th – I was very lucky to be invited by @xtine08 to the Giles St. Google Head Office (@google, @googlecloud) for Mobile Monday (@MoMoLondon); I was introduced to the very interesting course @moblacad which I am now considering taking and I also had the opportunity to speak with @jewl who leads the course and is a completely fascinating and inspirational person. And right now as I look at the website http://themobileacademy.org.uk/ I am thinking that really this might be a very interesting course to take starting in September. The speakers at the event included: @cmendler; @Cloud_Easton, Head of Google Cloud Platform, UK&I; @GoldenGekko; @MadProf. Some of the totally awesome attendees that I connected with include: @yousability, @thuramg, @bedfordsean

Tuesday May 13th – Sprinted over to @thomsonreuters for the Angel Academe which is the (taken from the website): network for professional women with extensive business experience who want to support tech entrepreneurs, particularly other women, as mentors, non-execs and angel investors. The meeting included @turnipshire founder of Angel Academe, a great and motivational keynote speech by @iammobilebob (Head of Advanced Product Innovation at Thomson Reuters), @osh_hannah gave a talk about being an Angel Investor from a successful investing female perspective. The companies that then pitched included: @AbundanceGen (Making it possible for people to invest in UK renewable energy projects via crowdfunding) and @sarahtierney (who is an oscar-nominated BAFTA-winning filmmaker) of @wearecolony (which provides early & exclusive behind the scenes access to independent films). We also have the opportunity to learn about http://angelacade.me/entrepreneur-academe/ the Angel Academe – City of London (@CityRegen) collaboration the Entrepreneur Academe from @kerrimckechnie. Then I was able to mingle with the leader of @frugl (congrats on being @TechCityNews Download of the Week) who I met first at a previous @women2 @W2CityMeetup which took place @RainmakingLoft.

Wednesday May 14th – Met up with Heather a friend who teaches at a Jewish school and is getting married on the 20th of December and a mutual friend Nicola at @RodizioRico close to Angel Tube Station and had some very tasty food and a great catch up.

Thursday May 15th – Today I was very lucky to meet with @sarahtallen (of @MozLDN, @mozilla, and @mozillafestival) at the @southbanklondon Queen Elizabeth Roof Garden. I have been to this area of London so many times and had no idea that such a beautiful hidden gem of a roof garden existed. In fact since this day of introduction I have now been back no less then three times. The amazing food is provided by @CompanyofCooks (and I can vouch for the brownies, so great). Speaking with a professional like Sarah was also incredibly inspiring and I am hoping to get more involved with the initiatives of Mozilla going forward. After this great meeting, I (literally, for some exercise) ran across London to @VantraLondon close to @centrepointuk and met up with my friend from crewing at @tonyrobbins Jonna of @JTBeautyOutlet and we spoke about the the new book that she has just published and her upcoming book launch. Vantra is a vegan restaraunt right beside Tottenham court road and reminded me of @greensngourmet where I always used to eat when I was you where I grew up in Vancouver, Canada.

Friday May 16th – My mother arrived from Canada to @HeathrowAirport and I came home to find the house full of fresh flowers and fruit and so clean 🙂 we then went out to @WeAreZizzi and had a fabulous dinner and catch up.

Saturday May 17th – Day two of mommy staying in the guest bedroom. She was not quite over her jet-lag (it is an 8 hour time difference but was ready to experience london and so we took the train into London bridge and went to look at the amazing view from @TheShardLondon at the bar of @aquashard we had two of the most asthetically pleasing virgin fruit drinks with skewered blackberries and raspberries and folded lemongrass. We then we to meet with @stephanieseege of Soul Flavors who has also just published one of her books. We had tea and food at @RidingHouseCafe and I can really vouch for their grilled vegitables on Polenta, amazing! Then I went off to the @Scanditwitchen and @StarbucksUK, @Starbucks to catchup on some things and then went to @hungrykiwilady to get dressed for the @Digital_Sizzle event by @3_Beards, the theme was Alice in wonderland. Nizza dressed as Alice while I was the Queen of hearts and we had our faces painted, there was a Shisha lounge, amazing street food, wonderful live performances of street dancing and beatboxing and lots of connecting!! I saw Christine (see the first day of this entry) and her crew and @simonjack_says with @NatiTal of @Doodleledo and @TEDxSquareMile. Sponsors included: @SECONDHOMELDN @Badoo @BadooTech @twilio (I met and spoke with one of their representatives who was dressed up as a Caterpillar in a blue onsie at their sponsored ‘tea party’ which included dry ice lollypop centrepeices, amazing!) @Airbnb @90secondstv @chargifi @ihorizonUK @Telerik @MeantimeBrewing @AppsAlliance (Application Developers Alliance, which I have just joined and it is free for developers) and @GA.

Sunday May 18th – I had a massive barbecue with many family members and friends and the weather was amazing; we had the BBQ in the back yard and I was so lucky to have the whole patio, and two picnic blankets full of people who attended; earlier in the day was able to go to @AlauddinSweets in @Brick_Lane_E1 highly recommend super-delicious.

Monday May 19th – Met up with @MonicaMillares at the Queen Elizabeth Hall roof top gardens at South Bank Centre and we caught up about the exciting things that she is up to at the moment then we went for dinner and over a delicious California Sushi Rice Salad with Oak Smoked Salmon with kale, fresh mango, brown rice, cucumber, carrot, avocado, edamame beans, peashoots, wasabi lime dressing & sesame crunch topping @giraffetweet. I also breifly connected with @juliemarkham a Fulbright Scholar (@FulbrightSchlrs) over google hangout.

Tuesday May 20th – Met with Nizza and @MARKJAMESGILL and Mom and Gary at Butlers wharf chop house (@BWChophouse) I have walked past a few times and marveled at the lovely view and the delicious smelling food so we went and the food and service was amazing from the chanterelle mushroom embellishments to the creme brule with a candle in it, it was awesome, I must go back.

Wednesday May 21st – Went to canary wharf and met some ladies who work at @BarclaysOnline, @Barclays and @Ogilvy and we went for a tasty apple shisha at @temple_lounge along with some super tasty lebenese tasting trays which included dolmates (vine leaves with rice) and haloumi 🙂

Thursday May 22nd – Spent the day for my second time as a volunteer user-assessor for the MQEM @macmillancancer quality mark assessment today it was at Croydon Hospital @croydonhealthMQEM; Went to @HolidayInn for a business meeting with Egle @EgleValeikaite of @JCI_London. I also had the chance to speak with @ElisaValentini with regards to Tedx Canary Wharf and @shrutimkrishnan with regards to Women 2.0.

Friday May 23rd – Lunch with Katie (a Canadian friend of mine who I have known since we went to highschool together) at Tossed (@tosseduk), had heard about this fast-food style salad bar but had never been but I have to say it was pretty nom. I had the fallafal and haloumi wrap with a super green juice (cucumber, apple and spinich juice). Also went to the second to last robot study @QMUL and then ended up in Canary Wharf @henryaddington for Julia (@Julia_PR_) engagement party.

Saturday May 24th – Relaxing and catching up day.

Sunday May 25th – Went for lunch at @boxpark and had some delicious @MilkTeaPearlUK peach sencha w/lychee boba and tried for the first time @thebunnychow, which is the South African version of the cornish pasty, basically hollowed out bread with a lovely filling, I was totally buying into the @ShoreditchHype then I spent some time at Starbucks waiting for @jamietolentino Pierre, Neha and Egle. We then went to the Queen Elizabeth Roof Gardens and ended up at Giraffe.

And today is Bank Holiday Monday.
